I need assistance with old PC games called Legacy of Rosemond Hill. My computer runs Windows 8 now, though it previously used Windows 10. I chose to install Windows 8 because most old games didn’t work well on Windows 10. I have a gaming laptop with Windows 10, but installing Legacy of Rosemond Hill failed there. It worked fine on my Toshiba laptop with Windows 8, but when I try to launch the game, it opens in a black screen and then closes immediately.

It appears to be a 20-year-old title, and support is unlikely to improve. It doesn't work on the 10 PC. You can check the review here: https://overeview.io/software/children-s...n-p1051975

I'll attempt that, but what's the best way to increase volume on Windows 8 VM?

Virtual machines let you execute an operating system within an application window on your desktop, mimicking a complete, independent computer.

The term 'bigger' refers to the current setup where the virtual machine occupies most of the display space.

This might be difficult to obtain.
Do you own a copy for your older Windows 8 version?

I successfully installed Windows 8 on Oracle VM virtualbox and now have the installer for Legacy of Rosemond Hill.

The VM functions similarly to a regular PC.
Just set up a shared folder that can be accessed from the VM.
Install the software in the usual way.

You can also simply move it to the desktop of the VM and install from there. I have tried this with several applications.
