Recently, I've been attempting to declutter my possessions, including a collection of CDs filled with vintage computer games—primarily designed for Windows 95 and 98. I attempted to install several of these discs, but most failed to initialize properly, and even those that did wouldn't launch. Strangely, the single game that functioned was one I didn’t enjoy. A small number of titles—like certain gambling games—I would have preferred to retain, but should I simply discard them all?

Execute them within an older version’s compatibility setting.
Furthermore, test the display at a 640x480 resolution.
This often resolves the issue for me.
However, feel free to explore other possibilities as well.

It’s informing me that I am unable to execute setup.exe using a physical disc.

You might be able to attempt installing Windows XP and running them.
