Hi everyone! I just received the RM1000e Corsair PSU with a cable that has 12V-2x6 on both sides. It’s meant to power the GPU, but I’m confused about which end connects to the PSU and which to the GPU. One side of the cable has "PCIe" written on it. Both ends fit in the PSU, but I haven’t figured out the correct pairing yet. Thanks!

The other cables feature the text on the plug end, while the power supply end has the label.

My PCIE slot is positioned on the GPU side of your Corsair RM1000x, which works perfectly. The 12V-2x6 connector setup should function equally well regardless of orientation.

Sure, I can flip your cable and run a test to confirm it functions in both directions.

@emosun the ones I'm using for the cpu only have "CPU" written on the side that I put in the motherboard. There's another cable in the box with a 12V-2x6 side and two 6+2 ends, and these latter ones have "PCIe" written on them

About ten minutes passing. Adjusting the setup now, I’m testing different configurations. The cable is currently above the GPU, so I’ll move it down.

GPU performs excellently, reaching its rated speed with correct power usage. No issues encountered. This is just a visual proof I actually swapped it. I didn’t align it perfectly—1AM meant rushing to finish. Hope this helps. Just connect it and enjoy gaming!

Thanks! The GPU is still on its way, but I’ve got the other components ready so I only need to connect it once everything’s set up.
