I just put in a new power supply and connected everything correctly. It started up fine when I powered on for the first time after installation. But once I shut down the computer, the CPU cooler, motherboard, and hard drive lights started flashing together with a clicking sound. Scared, I turned off the PSU and everything fell silent. After turning it back on, the GPU logo light began blinking between red and green. When I pressed power again, the same thing happened, and I captured a video of it this time. Later, I removed and reinserted the RAM. Pushing the power button caused the lights to flash and click about three or four times before the system booted normally. After restarting the PC several times, the blinking stopped completely—only appearing after turning off the computer again. This hasn’t happened before. Details: CPU – Intel Core i5-8600K @ 3.60GHz (6 cores), ~3.6GHz cooler, Corsair Hydro H60, GPU – Gainward GeForce GTX 1080 8GB, Phoenix motherboard, MSI Z370 Gaming Plus, RAM – Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz 16GB, PSU – Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2 750W. Confirm the connection is secure. Ensure the switch is set to the 'I' position. This power supply appears to be non-functional; consider returning it for a refund. Test your previous PSU to verify compatibility, and if it works, the current one may be faulty.

Absolutely, I reviewed it multiple times and had someone else check it too—they agreed it was fine. I’m writing this from the video setup. If the PSU failed, would my computer still work?

I experienced the same issue after installing header adapters. It seems I accidentally removed my RAM modules. Since your ATX 24-pin is close to the RAM slots, it’s likely you did the same without realizing. Possibly the new PSU has faulty capacitors. Updated April 11, 2022 by An0maly_76 Added more details

I attempted to start the PC using the outdated power supply today, but the clicking sound and blinking stopped. Unfortunately, it’s not a solution for me since the old PSU is failing. It looks like the new PSU is definitely dead. I’ll submit a return request and check if they can send a replacement, otherwise I’ll just request a refund.
