Hello, two weeks back I assembled my initial PC without a graphics card since it arrived later than expected. I managed to get it running smoothly. Recently we returned from vacation and installed the GPU, turned it on, and after restarting once, the display appeared briefly. I accessed BIOS to install Windows, restarted the system, and noticed the CPU red LED illuminated unexpectedly while the monitor remained dark. I thought there might be an issue with the CPU, so I tried booting again—this time the red light disappeared, but a yellow LED near "boot" lit up. Since the screen stayed blank afterward, I checked the PC multiple times; the red light reappeared occasionally. Occasionally, the PC would restart, shut down, and then reboot, though the red light persisted. During assembly, I accidentally fastened the metal frame from the CPU to the motherboard. Could this have caused problems? Was it possible the power supply unit was faulty or the CPU itself had an issue? The fans on both the PSU and CPU cooler spun, RAM was present, and the GPU was installed correctly. Here are my PC specifications: CPU – Intel Core i5 12400F (stock cooler), Motherboard – MSI Pro B660M-A WIFI DDR4, RAM – Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8 GB, PSU – EVGA Supernova GT 650W, GPU – Radeon RX6600, SSD – Crucial P2 M.2 1TB. Thank you in advance!

I encountered some similar problems. It turned out the RAM I was using wasn't included in the QVL for the motherboard, causing stability issues.

The issue was fixed by taking out one RAM stick and reinserting it. It looks like I focused too much on it being the CPU, not realizing it could be something else. The stick was correctly placed before, so likely just a bit of dust in the slot. Often things are easier than they seem.
