Just as an example: I had an issue with my GTX 1080 on Ryzen, where the GPU would work fine with any port on my older Intel platform, but on Ryzen it would only work with DVI and not HDMI or DisplayPort until I installed Windows and drivers. So I would test every single port on the graphics cards. I even had to buy a seperate cable.
I placed the GPU in the lower compartment and it functioned properly! Note: While updating the driver, the VGA indicator remained bright red even after inserting the GPU into the initial port.
