Hey everyone, I've been part of the master race for about six years now. Recently, I upgraded my i5 4690 to a Ryzen 7 3700X with 16 GB of Ballistix memory at 3000Mhz on an ASUS Prime X570 Pro. Everything functioned smoothly from the beginning—I could boot Windows and perform all tasks until I started using Ryzen Master. I adjusted some frequencies, but nothing major changed. For voltage control, I set SOC to 1.1 and CLDP VDDG to 1.1, hoping to boost memory speed, as Ryzen benefits from fast RAM. The issue arose during a reboot: my PC froze on a black screen with the DRAM indicator lit. I assumed I'd damaged my RAM and panicked. After a hard reset of the BIOS, it displayed my RAM, CPU, and graphics card output—everything seemed normal. Still, after saving and exiting without changes, the screen returned to black again, and I had to reset the BIOS once more. I’m unsure what’s wrong. Could there be a fault in my system or something I missed? I tried making a bootable USB to clear Windows, but the same problem persisted—DRAM lit and screen stayed black. I really hope the details I shared were complete and that someone can help me out.

You mean that after removing the CMOS battery, the BIOS can't communicate properly with your CPU, even though it originally came with support for a third-generation Ryzen processor.

I wouldn't rely on Ryzen AMX for overclocking; run it through the BIOS instead. It’s simpler to restore defaults if it doesn’t boot.

This. It's always best to do your tweaking in the BIOS itself since OC'ing software can cause problems like the OP is having. It does sound like a borked BIOS issue, probrably caused by the software making something get scrambled in it. If possible just reflash the BIOS and see what it does. @ProjectEclipse If you ever decide to try it again just do it all in the BIOS, it's safer that way than relying on OC'ing software.

I absoultely will, to flash my bios I just head to the ASUS page of the board, download the latest bios, unzip it in a flash drive, stick it into the pc, head into the bios and flash it from the setting I found there. Correct?

No similar issues before. Attempting a BIOS update could reset everything completely and potentially resolve the problem. I encountered this when trying to access OC RAM using Ryzen Master. Now I'm updating via BIOS.
