Hello, a new 3-year-old PC has been showing the VGA EZ Bug light during startup. This happens randomly, especially when playing Path of Exile and the screen disconnects. I rebooted it but still faced issues. I checked power outlets, tested the GPU, RAM, and CPU—everything seems fine. I changed the GPU settings and double-checked all connections. If you have any tips, please share. Thanks for your help!
Specs: PSU XPG Core Reactor 850, GPU Gigabyte 3080TI, CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, RAM Corsair Vengeance 8GB, Monitor Gigabyte M27QP AOC 24G2.
Could the power source be unstable? Are any of its connections unsecured?
You're wondering why the GPU and CPU are drawing more power than expected, especially since everything seems stable. It might be related to the GPU's power consumption or a background process. Double-checking cables and ensuring they're secure could help. Also, monitor the system's power usage to see if it spikes during startup.
I discovered the problem. I was using two display ports for my monitors. I replaced the AOC with an HDMI and retained the display port for the Gigabyte M27QP. This resulted in stable startup and no warning light. Now I’m experiencing a situation where the computer starts to the login screen but the GPU becomes very noisy and then shuts down after about half a second. I’m not sure what’s causing this.
