SOLVED!! I'm just beginning my first build. I'm checking parts before putting them in the case and the DRAM light turns on but I can't reach the BIOS. All parts are brand new. What I've tried so far with no success: re-seating RAM, testing each RAM in the A2 slot, resetting CMOS. I followed a guide to update the BIOS but think I might have made a mistake. I have access to an unopened Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL36. I was planning to return it so I didn't unpack it for testing. Component list: Gigabyte X870 gaming wifi6 mobo Ryzen 7 7800x3d Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith Gaming 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30 Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 850W 80+ Gold. Have you considered giving it some time? It might be related to RAM training.
It seems the problem is likely related to DRAM, possibly due to a compatibility mismatch. I checked both RAM slots individually and in all positions, but the same issue persists. The RAM appears on the motherboard slot but not on the manufacturer's site—this isn't uncommon for those two to differ.
I have a USB with a BIOS Q-Flash Plus button. I checked the manual for updating the BIOS, but I'm not sure how to do it properly. I think I need the latest version. After connecting it and turning on the power, I pressed the Q-Flash button. I don’t know if that confirms the update.
There are instructions available on YouTube about how to flash the BIOS. Usually, you'll see a progress indicator in the back I/O that shows the status. Besides connecting a USB to the back of the PC, some devices have a dedicated USB port specifically for BIOS updates, likely marked clearly, and probably described in the manual.
Remove the CPU and reinstall it carefully. Verify all pins align properly on the socket. Ensure the back surface is clean—no dust or marks. If available, use a microcenter for precise placement.
Solved! Ended up purchasing a different RAM, which functioned well. The one I had listed as compatible on pcpartpicker and a QVL, though not on the manufacturer's site. Or possibly it was faulty RAM. Either way, the PC is built and ready for OS setup. Exciting times! Thanks for your help!
