Hi, I am hoping someone can help, as I am out of ideas and money. I have the vga light on on my motherboard and no display, but all fans spins also on GPU. I have taken everything out and back in, tried new motherboard, new CPU, new PSU, 2 other older GPUs, and using only 1 RAM stick and none of it has worked. I have also tried 2 different monitors with separate different cables. What should i do? Few extra details: The operating system runs off an SSD and also uses 6 HDD with storage spaces. Initially when the vga light went on, it would suddenly work, but ever since changing any parts that hasn't happened again. I think it was a heat wave that caused the light to go on. My new motherboard can have bios updated without CPU and GPU. I first Changed the motherboard, then the CPU and finally the PSU. Current setup: Ryzen 5 5600, MSI B550-A Pro, Phanteks AMP GH 1000W (I know this is overkill for system), RTX 2060, 2 X 8 GB Ram, 2 TB Samsung 970 SSD, 6 HDDs of different make and model. Cheers, Alex

Hola.

Hi, thanks for your message. I attempted to remove the CMOS battery on my old motherboard, but after waiting a few minutes (a bit rushed) and before making any other changes, it didn’t seem to work. I’m considering giving it another try now that I’m doing the same at the same time. I also tried unplugging all the HDDs before, but that didn’t help either. It seems like the drives might be the problem, especially since they’re quite old. When you mentioned letting it restart a couple of times, do you mean turning it off and on again, or something else? Let me know. Cheers, Alex

Restarting CMOS will trigger a reboot before the debug VGA light appears. If that doesn't resolve the issue, follow the manual instructions to short the two pins with a screwdriver. Alternatively, consider removing the NVMe SSD.

At first, things were tricky but it seemed to improve!!! Great job!! After trying with two different GPUs, the second one started showing boot light instead of VGA, so I put the SSD back in and it loaded into Windows. For the second GPU test, I also took out any connected USBs (mouse, keyboard, fingerprint reader) and one of the RAM sticks, which helped narrow down the issue. Thanks!
