So I purchased a new mobo for my rig. I put everything in the case and made sure everything was in the correct spot and was plugged in correctly. When i turn on the computer I have no display, and the DRAM led turns on, after a few seconds the PC shuts off for 5 seconds then reboots, it goes through this cycle twice and the third time it stays running, and the DRAM led is off. Yet I still have no display, no POST, or any response from the computer at all besides the computer running and fans. I have tried putting the jumper on and resetting the BIOS to default, I tried taking out the CMOS battery and waiting, reseating plugs and the GPU, just about everything. The Z390 chipset only accommodates 8 and 9 generation processors. Since the socket connections differ, presumably for power purposes.
MSI Z270 Gaming Plus or similar Z270, Z170, B250 models? Since the 6600K is unlocked better, opt for Z boards instead...=x
I'll check it out, see if there are alternatives. You don't need an MSI if another driver will suffice.
6600k appears in the z270 compatibility list as well. Not sure, my previous CPU was an i5 3550. Now I'm using an R7 3700x.
