Didn't refresh the system info; everything lights up in order during startup, then they shut down completely. Occasionally the power supply stays active, which makes me anxious because I think the processor might be faulty. I don’t want to experiment by removing the cooling fan just yet.

Certainly boards offer the ability for the LED to adjust brightness based on CPU temperature. Otherwise, it usually indicates an underlying issue.
Hardware details can vary by standard. Your lighting issue isn't connected to cooling, and it may change color during a complete cycle or with an AIO.
I don't understand if the RAM is QVL approved, but that doesn't clarify why the CPU seems upset. A bad motherboard is more likely the issue.
Reflection on the situation, the RAM I first tried seems responsible for sporadic POST errors every 8-12 cold boots. The DIMMs worked without problem, but the board eventually showed signs of DRAM failure. Another identical RAM package caused the same problem. When handling the first board's return, the same kit led to issues on another board before it also failed, even though it passed initial checks. It turned out neither board was listed in their QVL, so a different kit was used instead. The problem vanished once that replacement arrived. The original board reported 'could not duplicate issue.' I swapped the faulty RAM with one from its QVL list, and the issue disappeared completely. What stands out is that the board's VGA light sometimes flashes white during operation—no glitches detected, the system runs smoothly now, and the random failures are gone. It might mean the original RAM was defective, as it did indeed fail. However, another identical kit (swapped for troubleshooting) showed inconsistent performance on another board that wasn’t in its QVL, leading to early stability problems. Originally, the board wouldn’t boot at all with that RAM and a new GPU, but would start with an older one—suggesting the board itself was the culprit. Now, this same RAM part number appears across three different boards, each experiencing various issues, none of which are listed by the manufacturers. It seems unlikely to be random.
