Learning my first FPS game was exciting.
Hey everyone, I just got Overwatch three days ago with a friend and wanted to talk about how incredible the game is. When I first started, I was 12 years old and tried Counter Strike. I don’t remember the version, but within minutes I felt sick playing FPS games too. I thought maybe it was just CS, so I tried others like TF2 and Modern Warfare. Most FPS games, even some like Oblivion and Skyrim, made me feel the same. Eventually, I stopped liking that genre because I couldn’t play any of them anymore. But then the excitement around Overwatch hit me, and I decided to buy it with extra cash. I told myself “FUCK IT!” and jumped in. At first, I was a bit nervous, but after eight hours I didn’t feel any nausea or dizziness. Surprised, I kept playing the next day. While trying Skyrim, I got dizzy after just ten minutes in FPS mode. I realized Blizzard probably thought about players like me and considered us a target audience. That’s impressive, Blizzard! A great game from great developers. Just wanted to share this in the forum. Mad Nox.
Sorry, I was on WCG for CS 1.6 and was causing a lot of trouble there.
If you truly want to see it, probably the best option is to try bo3 since it's also a lively game.
I attempted it myself; previously I worked in a gaming store here in Kuwait where they have a demo version. The outcome is that I can't even watch the screen without feeling dizzy.
I believe the discomfort stems more from the field-of-view adjustment than from the games themselves. It's essentially motion sickness. Luckily, modern titles offer settings to fix this issue. Are your parents guiding you on spending or making you depend on them because you feel you can't handle things alone?
It seems like you're experiencing a mix of enjoyment and discomfort while playing games. Many titles with too much detail can be overwhelming, making it hard to focus or feel comfortable. Some games trigger physical reactions like nausea or eye strain, especially in fast-paced racing titles. While I can watch these games without issues, personal tolerance varies. The line between fun and discomfort often depends on individual sensitivity and the specific gameplay style.
