Learn the proper steps for installing Windows correctly.
This seems like a solid concept, though using an Acronis backup is essentially the same as restoring again.
This is really helpful! Amazing work! A YouTube video would be really nice to make it a bit more visual, but even if you can't, this is really good! Will really help many builders out there.
To connect your windows to a USB drive, you need an extra computer ready. This method isn’t suitable for someone who hasn’t used a computer before, as it adds unnecessary steps. It’s better to use the DVD drive directly and install from there for a smoother process. Including the USB only complicates things further.
I believe the concept is that most individuals already possess a computer or at least can access one, allowing them to read this content. If you didn’t have one, you’d simply purchase physical media and use it that way, or opt for the built-in system if available. A USB drive is much quicker and doesn’t need an optical drive, which many people lack on modern machines.
This guide is designed for everyday users, don’t you think? It’s meant to stop people from downloading software from untrusted sources like Ninite. Regardless of how large the third-party company is, you still don’t know if it’s current or has been changed. Slipstreamed updates look appealing, but they’re mainly for someone with basic tech skills. Installing programs before updating drivers is a risky move. Also, don’t forget—next time you try to install, I often have to reinstall Windows every six months just to keep things running smoothly. Having the latest versions of software and drivers is essential, so slipstreamed media would need reconfiguration. Therefore, I don’t suggest using slipstreams unless you’re installing on more than five machines with identical hardware setups.
The issue here is that I need each driver and every software to be updated to the latest version during a Windows reinstall (which usually happens every 6-9 months). This means the process becomes ten times more complicated, involving constant updates and reinstalls, plus dealing with potential problems like incomplete uninstalls or corrupt install files.
In this part I mentioned you can obtain your media in any way you prefer. (I even added a link to the Microsoft Store where you can purchase a copy). Also, if someone is browsing this forum, they have a functional computer. I won’t be able to assist much for someone who has never used a computer before.
I’m still searching for ideas. I’d like to know which parts were unclear in the instructions. I’ll be preparing a YouTube video soon, so I’m planning to organize it into four sections. Making a “Guide to Customizing Windows” seems important for advanced users. Thanks @ xeromynd. This guide is intended to be simple and straightforward. Many of you already know other methods, but this one aims to present official, easy solutions. Relying on shortcuts like “just click here” doesn’t support the original creator, just like memorizing math formulas without understanding them first. It’s similar to learning school math—you need the basic steps before tackling the complex version.
