You're not alone—many find MOBA games daunting at first. Start by exploring beginner-friendly titles or tutorials to ease into the game. Focus on learning basics before diving deeper.

The most helpful thing to do is avoid MOBA games. They seldom bring joy, often lack competition beyond professional events, and usually result in chaotic teams that struggle and rage. That’s why I stopped playing. Unless you have a small group of familiar players who understand the risks, it’s best not to start—this approach can lead to unnecessary frustration.

Two popular MOBAs are League of legends or Dota 2 First option would be to play with friends with more experience. If that is not possible start from the normal tutorial every game provides . Then before playing with actual opponents do some games versus Bots (it is a game mode inside LoL or Dota). Try to play one game or two with every different hero you want to try before going against other players. You can also read some guides about specific hero's or roles within the genre (Tank, support, etc). You can check this site for League of legends: http://www.mobafire.com/ Other than that it takes time and many games to get better...

Based on Heroes of the Storm, try DotA if you enjoy it. If you're unsure, we can stick to the first option.

I’ll let you know this right away—you’re going to dislike mobas at first. But once you pass the initial learning stage, the games become really enjoyable. Deciding between a league or Dota depends on personal taste. Dota has a more challenging learning curve, but both are tough to master. I recommend finding a friend who plays and teaching you. If not, practice a lot by playing bot matches to grasp the basics. Once you’re comfortable, start competing in public matches against others. I’m not sure if leagues exist, but Dota’s ranked matches are more competitive. I’d suggest diving into mobas—they’re much more fun once you get the hang of them.

Jesus, allow the individual to act freely. I understand your concerns, but trust that they can evaluate their own situation.

I’m happy to assist with getting started in mobile games. While I mainly play League, I’ve also played Dota 1 for nine years, so feel free to ask anything. Just message me anytime!

Everyone eventually feels it. It’s an amazing experience at first, but once it becomes frustrating and removes all enjoyment from gaming!

I have played almost 5000 games in LoL ... and it is still fun for me. However! It takes a lot of my time and I cant play another games. I often have to disable all communication to prevent friends from calling me to go play with them Now to OP: If you want get to MoBa the best way is to play with friend. If you plan on playing it alone then dont bother. It will get frustrating really fast. Also try to ignore chat. Pretend that no chat in game exist. A very large number of people in MoBa games are assholes that need to prove you how bad you are. Just ignore them. Dont try to be good (from begining).. just experiment and have fun. After you try a lot of different champions and find your play style then you can start playing more seriously and get into competition.
