Hello everyone, I just bought another 8GB HyperXfury 2666 CL 16, which gives me a 2x8GB dual channel setup. I was able to boot up in BIOS, adjusted the disabled setting on the XMP tab, switched to profile 1, and set the frequency to 3200MHz. I also changed the voltage to 1.20V and 1.35V. I'm curious if this is the correct and safe method to overclock my dual RAM setup for maximum performance. Should I increase speed or voltage further to get even better results? I'm using a Ryzen 3 3200G CPU with an RX570 4GB Pulse on my A320M S2H MOBO. Feel free to ask more questions for helpful advice.

It should be fine enough, but using Thaiphoon Burner and the Ryzen DRAM calculator would be better. Every IC in RAM is unique, so exceeding 1.5v without cooling can quickly harm the RAM.

I've watched those YouTube tutorials, but I worry I might ruin everything and can't get everything back to normal. It looks like the BIOS setup is secure, and I can still boot into Windows, which means the changes I made are still valid. Did the process actually boost my gaming performance in terms of FPS, or is it still important to follow what you mentioned about the programs?

For stability, raise the voltage for the soc to 1.1 and then most of it should work fine. Keep testing with 3200 tests using memtest86.

Anything above 1.4 is a warning sign. Ensure your CPU isn't overclocked, as it can hurt interconnect performance and raise the SOC voltage to 1.1. Anything above 1.1 is not recommended.

I noticed the SOC volt reading in your BIOS under the CPU section. Since you haven’t adjusted it recently, it seems the value was previously 1.00. To ensure your overclock RAM settings function properly, you’ll likely need to raise the SOC volt from 1.0 to around 1.1.

It’s not mandatory, but there’s a high likelihood Zen 1 has an issue. Adjusting the voltage to 1.1 can improve performance.
