Hi, I understand your situation. You have an Intel i7 3632QM processor and a notebook with an RPGA988B chipset (G2). You're considering building a custom PC from parts. I looked up compatible motherboards and found options priced around $250-$300. Those would be quite costly, so you might want to upgrade your hardware instead. There don’t seem to be many affordable alternatives in the US right now. If you’re open to modifying, you could use the notebook’s PCV with a case, but you’d still be limited by its GPU. Would you like advice on how to proceed with a build or explore budget-friendly upgrades?

I noticed them, but I haven't found any in my country either. On the site similar to Amazon or eBay, the queries focus more on standard connectors like LGA 1150 that match the CPU. I might be misunderstanding. Thanks!

Search eBay for HP EliteDesk 800 motherboard. If found at a fair price, verify CPU compatibility on the official HP website before purchasing.

The server is called G2, but it doesn’t have a G2 socket—just the name. It’s cool to notice that the server with the CPU, RAM, power supply, and hard drive costs the same as the motherboard I was thinking about. I’m starting to feel like I’m wasting my time and you’re not.
