Learn methods to minimize losses while participating in the Insider Program.
Hi! I'm a CSGO player who's been using the W11 insider dev build for some time. The issue is that ESEA, one of the main platforms, requires a client that doesn't work on the dev version of W11. Is there a way to go back to W10 or a non-developer version without losing everything?
Yep. You can exit the Insider program only when your build aligns with the official release versions. On Windows 10 Insider it was a bi-annual schedule, with Microsoft planning two builds each year for public access. That meant a limited timeframe. Now with Windows 11 it’s once a year—usually in October or November—giving you about one to two weeks to submit your changes, unless something shifts from previous cycles. Microsoft also mentioned that the dev channel will soon offer experimental features, while the beta channel will be closer to the final release. At this stage, I’m unsure what the exact implications will be when the opportunity arises. Perhaps only the beta channel remains available, or developers might keep experimental features disabled... I’m not sure.
