A basic cloud option might work. If not, linking the two computers using a CAT5 cable is a significantly quicker method. For large file transfers, opt for a fast cloud service supporting both Linux and Windows clients, such as Mega.nz. This should help you out.

You can inquire about the file types and sizes involved. As noted before, for smaller files such as e-books, folders, or settings, platforms like Dropbox are effective. They allow sharing across devices without needing direct NAS access, which has been reliable over recent years. For instance, I recently moved comic books from my phone to Dropbox so they could be read on another device. However, many apps still struggle with accessing network shares, making the process cumbersome. For larger files, consider creating a shared storage solution like a USB drive connected to the router for broader access. But if you have numerous files, performance may decline quickly; in such cases, a more affordable NAS or shared drives on PCs might be better options.

I managed it, though a simple drag-and-drop approach would work better

I possess a NAS with two drives connected, yet they need significant processing power. I attempted the sync feature, which functions properly but becomes sluggish with bigger files—sometimes handling files up to 5 gigabytes or more is challenging.
