Learn how to configure your Windows environment effectively.
Hello team, I’m checking in about my current configuration. I’m running a PC with a SATA SSD and a FireCuda GPU. My setup uses Windows 10 Pro x64 with the answer file during setup, which redirects all user folders to the FireCuda instead of the SSD. I’m wondering if this arrangement is effective or not.
I’m not familiar with symbolic links. On Windows, I used to install files through the answer file, so in C:\ (my SSD) there aren’t folders named "users" for save games, scanned images, or temporary files—those end up in D:\users instead. Usually my company splits the HDD into two partitions: one for Windows and another for user data. In my setup, I use different media; the SSD is just for the operating system while the rest goes to D:.
