The title clearly states this. I just need to hit Ctrl+Shift+S to save it as a JPEG, and I don’t want to rely on the enum every time to pick JPEG.

Typically, when you save a file as Web and adjust your preferences, it keeps the changes for future use. Usually it’s CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+S.

You're asking if you must apply this setting each time, thinking a saved version will automatically convert to JPEG when you press Shift+S.
