Hi, I’m trying to get new computers connected to the network and join the domain. Since I’m using Windows Server 2012 R2 and not familiar with DNS, I want to understand how to do this step by step.

Change the default DNS servers provided by the DCHP server. Make these DNS settings visible publicly so all systems can participate in the domain.

I adjusted my router's DNS to Primary, which works with the domain controllers. I joined without changing any files or local DNS settings. I switched the second DNS as an alternative. What do you think? You're just starting out with networking!
