The file isn't on the PC since they would need to make it portable. It's clear you have a limited grasp of the system. You appear to misunderstand most of what I'm saying honestly. You believed emulation was against the law.
Since it demands a lot of effort, the process has simplified considerably now. Two out of three major consoles support the x86-64 CPU instruction set. The original Red Dead Redemption was designed exclusively for PPC systems. While there remains significant work needed to ensure smooth gameplay across different platforms, the necessity to rewrite all low-level instructions has been eliminated.
Porting isn't difficult—especially since I've previously developed many homebrew applications. Emulation is perfectly acceptable. Piracy is not acceptable, but it's simply a way to access the files.
I care nothing about how it's being sold, as long as it sells.
Rockstar also runs their own game store, which makes me a bit uncertain.
