I purchase games merely to resell them on G2A at higher prices than what Steam offers.

You purchase them as a gift and then upload it to G2A?

Sure, I only purchased this once. I bought a game during a sale—75% off, originally 5 euros, now 1.04 euros on G2A. It’s still listed there.

It's been quite a while since a real Steam Sale excitement—most games I wanted to try were already available. Right now, the only thing catching my eye is South Park Stick of Truth.

That's my assumption. Customers won't trust unrated sellers.

I understand. The same games continue to repeat, and the recent sales don’t really stand out anymore. That’s mostly because my inner “it’s not worth it/never gonna play it” filter is kicking in.

I understand your perspective. My first Steam Summer Sale was last year. This year I’m not overly excited, with over a hundred games in my collection—ninety of which I haven’t played yet. While I might catch some good deals occasionally, sales just end up adding items I won’t play for months, which feels like a waste. Or they push me to the point where I run out of things to try. Honestly, I’d rather focus on getting some useful hardware. That’s my take.

for reference here are the things you mentioned—none of them fit my budget. I’m thinking hyperdimension 1 & 2, game stock car extreme, rfactor, gt legends. The problem was last year I had around £1000 to spend and wasn’t too concerned. I ended up with Dynasty Warriors 8, and that’s about it. Some folks don’t like it, but I do. Sales are impressive no matter the reaction. This shows through how my friends reacted when I pushed them into PC gaming—they were really losing it for the hype. Oddly enough, since I’ve started sim racing, I’ve invested a lot in mods and similar stuff, which has paid off.
