High school? You could also focus on games for teens and under. There used to be a gaming group at my school, but the administration stopped letting M+ titles because most students were 17 or younger.

Don't stress, everything is taken care of. I don’t have to deal with League or Dota—those games aren’t my thing. I just need to reach out to IT for computer access.

Unturned is quite appealing and completely free, though its visuals aren't top-notch.

They're really enjoyable titles. TF2 and WarThunder are solid free-to-play options. You might also want to check out Dungeon Defenders 2—it's a tower defense game, and while I haven't played it yet, I like the first one, so I guess the second is at least good.

I agree with the ideas, but I still need to contact IT to install Steam on the computers. Minecraft works since our meeting room has Java (my programming class), but I just need to talk to IT.

Also, LAN games can be used, we won’t be playing online. In short, I’m looking for something like a LAN party game.

The initial Halo title for PC offers a decent experience over local play, though it isn't entirely free. You might also explore this site for LAN or co-op options: http://www.co-optimus.com/games.php
