You're looking for a way to prioritize your apps in the Start menu so they open first, without recommendations or distractions. Here are some options you can try:

- Use the **Task View** instead of the traditional Start menu.
- Enable **Fullscreen mode** and customize the app order manually.
- Adjust the **Startup apps** settings in Task Manager or Control Panel.
- Consider using a third-party launcher like **OneDesk** or **Kiosk Mode** for better control.

Let me know if you'd like step-by-step instructions for any of these!

Apologies for the confusion. I wasn't certain that this choice is available in Windows 10.

Enable full-screen mode so your apps show up when you tap it, not the default options.

I might be wrong, but it seems there isn't a method like with Windows 8. Microsoft hasn't really engaged with this Start Menu setting since Windows 10 came out, unfortunately. Based on my understanding, they seem to prioritize CShell, which replaces Shell32—the interface we use today.

You can adjust the Start Screen through the options menu, similar to Windows tablets. It’s managed via the Start Menu settings. Achieving the transparent effect mentioned might require enabling transparency in color settings and making some adjustments in the registry.
