Do you think the problem is mainly due to outdated drivers? I don’t expect to play this game anyway because I haven’t finished Absolution yet. It worked great on my high-end setup, but it seems many users with AMD or NVIDIA cards are facing serious issues.
Current titles perform well at 980 frames per second at 55fps, which appears to be a suitable setting. I haven’t tried it yet, but no reports of issues have come up so far.
That comment really hit the nerve. It’s about how quickly people jump to conclusions without taking the time to fully understand things. Steam tends to get most of its criticism from short reviews, mainly due to performance problems. Just pulling numbers doesn’t always tell the whole story.
When examining all previous benchmarks, they consistently run at full capacity and maximum detail. It seems individuals aren't inclined to lower the settings.
Everything is just marketing hype. A deadline exists because of contractual obligations with the publisher. The effort involved is significant—comprehensive engine overhauls, asset preparation, and re-rendering of textures and maps are required. (I could list it endlessly.) A bad title isn’t an excuse, but I understand their challenges.
I actually don't appreciate what they have done. Because if you know anything about the game, there's literally only 1 map available as of now other than the tutorial. They're releasing episodes in an unknown timeframe and all they had to do was get one map done alright, and they partnered with AMD which is what annoys me the most since AMD used this game to market their tech. People were complaining about Arkham Knight when that was a game probably more than 10x the size of what Hitman is now.
Besides DM complaints about needing to stay online, most issues revolve around low frame rates. When benchmark sites are checked, performance seems normal. I don’t see a current title that can guarantee smooth gameplay at high FPS all the time. It’s frustrating, so try lowering settings or adjusting them one by one to identify what’s causing the problem.
