Hello there, dear friends. About two months back I attempted to start Forza Horizon 5, but it crashed right after the first logo appeared. The only change I made to my system since the last time it ran smoothly was upgrading my monitor—switching from a slow DVI 1080p screen to a high-performance Gigabyte G24F 2 180Hz 1080p display. I wasn’t sure this should be the problem, but when I tried launching the game on another screen, it still crashed. I’ve tried several fixes: updating Windows 10 (including optional updates), Gaming Services, Game Bar, the Xbox app, graphics drivers, running Forza as admin, and making sure the firewall isn’t blocking it (even disabling it). I’m not sure what else to try. My PC specs are: ASUS TUF Z390-Pro Gaming i5 9600KF (5.0Ghz), RTX 3050, 16GB DDR4, Kingston Team Group, 1TB M.2 boot drive. I’ve previously helped with tech issues in this community, and your advice would be greatly appreciated. I really enjoy Forza Horizon and have spent many hours on it—this sudden stop is disappointing.

I don't know much about Event Viewer. I'll try to learn how to use it and share what I find later this evening. Appreciate the suggestion!

Review the game files and locate the configuration file, then remove the outdated graphics settings.

Find the uninstall folder by checking your Xbox settings or using the search function in the app. If you've reinstalled games before, they might still be saved there. You can also try deleting the game files manually from your device if needed.

I notice just one issue in the event viewer. The details suggest a problem with the gaming app, referencing specific versions and timestamps. It seems the system is reporting errors related to the RuntimeBroker.exe and KERNELBASE.dll components.
