I attempted the Windows creator update just to see what would happen, but it caused a freeze at 31% and forced me to restart. I ended up having to revert to the previous version of Windows. I currently use Windows 10 Pro and am looking for an easy way to prevent this update from appearing again, as I’m satisfied with version 1607 and don’t want any more updates.

It seems the issue stems from needing an update to fix the problem, though the solution isn't fully resolved.
