No one here is experiencing problems with update version 2004. There’s a noticeable stuttering issue at a steady interval, making audio sound distorted and unreadable. This has rendered the software unusable on my system despite reverting twice. Your Windows profile details could help diagnose the problem further. I’m disappointed about the slowdown from Docker and WSL 2, but I’ll continue using Linux containers in Hyper-V until a fix is available.

- Verify no pending updates remain
- Uninstall and reinstall GPU driver
- Launch CMD as administrator and execute "sfc /scannow" – if issues detected, reboot and repeat until resolved; if fixes aren't found, run "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth"
- Perform disk cleanup
- Consider reinstalling the audio driver, especially for laptops using ConnectSonic drivers
EDIT: Also check for a BIOS update as a precaution.

Numerous complaints surfaced regarding the 2004 update. Jerry from Barnacules Nerdgasm discussed these problems around the 20-minute point in the final tech session.

I really don’t get why everyone is rushing these updates. They’re being postponed for 75 days so Microsoft can fix all the issues. I’m sticking with version 1909 until things stabilize, and there are reports that 2004 will be stable.

You attempted to update the latest sound and GPU drivers, fully removed the graphics card drivers, then reinstalled them again. For Nvidia GPUs, selected the advanced option to perform a clean installation. Restarted your system and checked if the issue resolved.

I tried both options, but they didn't resolve the issue. It seems the entire system is having trouble. I'm going to wait for it to settle down.

Yep, this is what I did when I described reverting it fixed the stutter issues but I'll mark that as answer for posterity since that is what ultimately solved the issue. Thanks everyone!
