Keep things steady, long EA—don’t let things spiral like Ubisoft might. What’s the real outcome?

Excessive moisture – rating 2 out of 10. Fingers crossed they won’t repeat the mistakes from the BF4 launch.

They gained much from BF4 and believe it will work. Just wish the theme doesn’t sound too similar.

It seems like a visually enhanced version of BF4. I still appreciate the game as it stands. Adding more features and destruction feels a bit overwhelming.

That information comes from a military context, which explains the title "Battlefield 5." If the game had another setting, it might receive a different name such as Hardline or Bad Company.

Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline represent distinct titles. Hardline seems likely to function as a DLC, which aligns with current discussions around Battlefield 5.

Hoping for a 2142, WWII, or Vietnam scenario.

They displayed excerpts from Final Stand, the newest map pack for BF4 released recently. This wasn't BF5. Hardline isn't created by DICE; it's primarily built by Visceral games, the developer behind Dead Space. Hardline leverages BF4's engine, with DICE assisting in its implementation, but that's the extent of their involvement. In practice, Hardline functions more like a standalone title. It operates similarly to a "DLC" experience, much like Left 4 Dead 2. I'm fine with them teasing a BF5 release. I just wish EA would grant DICE sufficient time to complete it fully. BF4 suffered at launch, clearly indicating the need for additional development. As long as BF5 receives the necessary time, it should be a solid game.
