I assembled this fresh system for a friend and it’s facing issues. A strange pattern repeats itself. Windows starts normally, when installing the NVIDIA GPU driver (GTX 1650) or updating drivers myself it functions briefly before losing video output. Restarting brings it back to life until the Windows loading screen appears (spinning balls for Windows 10, then crash). Stop code and internal error reported. Is this related to the graphics card? I ran some tests while the machine was running, it completed Unigine Heaven and Superposition benchmarks without trouble. The same happens on HDMI or DisplayPort connections. I tried using his older GT210 module to try and pinpoint the problem, but it began showing a TDR video failure with the file nvlddmkm.sys bsod. I’m uncertain if his previous GPU is fully operational enough to help isolate the cause. Should I replace his new 1650 GPU in my stable system to see if it reveals the issue? I’d love to install my own GPU in his build, but it’s too big and demands more power than his PSU can support.

I’d recommend checking the driver and updating it. If a new PC reinstalls a fresh version of Windows 10 or 11 from Microsoft’s site, it might have been an installation issue. Ensure you generate a new bootable USB drive.
I've already reinstalled Windows. Once the PC hits this boot loop, returning to Windows is tough without swapping out the GPU or altering the driver setup. DDU didn't function when I first used it. The screen went black during operation and triggered a crash, forcing the system to restart.
Check if it's a 1650 model. If yes, send it over and request an alternative or a better option—your used RX580 would be a solid choice.
The video scheduler error might indicate damaged system files. After reinstalling Windows, it could be related to an SSD issue. Have you verified for any faulty blocks?
If possible, try it and consider using your GPU on a friend’s machine too. Just keep in mind the new formatting and the fact you’ve reinstalled Windows.
