Turning off Windows Update in Services won’t make the updates stop permanently. It just pauses them until you re-enable them or change the settings again. If you want updates to stop each time you power on your PC, you’ll need a different approach.

Turning off Windows Update didn’t make any changes. It will activate automatically later. Simply click the provided link to remain on Windows 10 for now; it won’t upgrade to Windows 11. You can also turn off Secure Boot, which will prevent your PC from being compatible with Windows 11 upgrades.

It mentions a Windows 11 preview, possibly indicating an early version or beta release.

Currently, the only option is to pause the updates temporarily. This is likely because you're part of the Windows Insiders program, which triggered the download. Exiting the program will prevent the update to Windows 11. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsi...ve-program

Unless you enjoy playing Valorant, turn off the TPM in BIOS and W11 won’t update. This is what I’ve done to my desktop to prevent W11 from installing.

You're stuck trying to get the insider builds button to work, but it keeps failing.
