Hello, your question is understandable. Upgrading from Windows 11 to 24H2 isn’t as straightforward as it was with Windows 10. There’s no built-in tool like the Windows Update Tool for Windows 11, and you won’t find a similar manual update option. You’ll need to use the official Windows Update feature or download the latest version directly from Microsoft’s website. Make sure your C drive contains all necessary files, and follow the prompts carefully to avoid losing data.
Have you heard about the debated aspects of the 24H2 update? For instance, Windows Recall being integrated into File Explorer? It can sometimes reset the layout or look of File Explorer.
I'll delete the debloat script and update to 24h2 while keeping your files on the C drive.
Recall would need to be a required setting in File Explorer. There’s no way to remove it via scripts or registry changes. Microsoft is working on a feature that lets you disable this functionality.
Some issues are reported with 24h2 and Windows updates may flag problems that cause bluescreens. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...ws-11-24h2 The 24h2 version isn’t available yet due to Easy Anti-Cheat. I’ll keep an eye on Microsoft’s fixes, no urgency to switch right now.
The release is being rolled out carefully due to server limitations when many users attempt to download the update simultaneously. Updates will be available gradually over a few months. You can initiate a forced download using the installation assistant here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows11
I tried the installation assistant and made a registry change to push the update. It worked fine on my personal rigs. Just let me know if you need more help!
