Last week I assembled a new gaming PC. The only parts I reused were the monitors and the display cables. I’ve observed color banding on my main screen (Acer XB271HU), and even still images look poor. On the 1080p Dell monitor or Sony TV it works well. I also connected my wife’s Viewsonic 1440p monitor, which functioned fine too. The Acer model in my previous build didn’t have problems. I’ve tested various video sources across different browsers and noticed the issue only appears on the Acer screen. Here’s an example of what I’m seeing (not my own, but similar to this): https://imgur.com/a/ZKwTYCq I suspect I missed a setting. I’m new to Windows 11 and have been searching for days without a solution. I’m considering swapping the Acer and buying a new monitor. Anyone have advice? Below are the troubleshooting steps I’ve tried: - changed display cables - adjusted GPU back panel settings - updated Nvidia drivers - reinstalled older Nvidia driver - added monitor driver and ICC profile - set HDR off (my monitors don’t support it) - in Windows adjusted scale to 100% and resolution to 1440p - Nvidia control panel set to highest color depth, 8 bpc, RGB, Full DRAM - connected the monitor to another PC, still poor quality Monitors: Acer XB271HU 1440p (main), Dell U2312HM 1080p, Sony TV HDMI, old build specs Windows 10 Pro i5 9600k, motherboard Gigabyte, Aorus boards, power supply details provided. Is there an unusual display on the screen? If the monitor appears distorted no matter which port you use, it’s likely the issue lies with the monitor itself. That’s a strange situation you’re facing.

Have you resolved this problem before? I’m facing the same challenge and haven’t found a fix after weeks of searching.

I'm not sure about that. It seems like no one knows how to resolve the issue with the monitor.
