Latest drivers installed but your PC fails to power up.
I chose to refresh my drivers and I’m confused about what happened. Now my PC won’t start. After installing the newest one, it just displayed a blue screen. When I try to power it on, the cooling components light up but there’s no display. The case fan RGB isn’t working either (though the fans are spinning). My motherboard (Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master) shows code 36, which in the manual refers to CPU PEI Initialization. Do you have any suggestions about what might be wrong, or how I can resolve this? Thank you for your help.
The X570 Master is a dual BIOS motherboard. It’s likely the BIOS update attempt caused the blue screen and corruption. Turn the right switch above the POST code to the opposite side and test. Also, set the left switch to 2 to disable Gigabyte's auto-switching BIOS feature that isn’t functioning.
To get back into Windows, apply the optimized defaults and start the boot process. If that resolved the issue, refer to the motherboard manual for steps on BIOS flashback and setting up a USB drive. Once done, return the correct switch to its original setting and test the system again. If it boots successfully, the board only needed a clean CMOS reset and will function normally afterward. If not, power off the device and use BIOS flashback to reprogram the BIOS settings and hopefully resolve the problem.
You’re referring to BIOS flashback, a feature in your computer’s firmware that allows you to restore older BIOS settings. It can help fix issues after a reset or boot failure. Just remember, it’s a special recovery option that may require your PC to be in a specific mode during the process.
Apologies, I intended to refer to all SCSI devices. Please let me know if you'd like me to revise my comment.
These late boot issues often point to hardware problems such as RAM, CPU, SSD, or motherboard faults. Begin testing one drive at a time in each port to determine if the blue screen becomes less frequent.
