You're experiencing some setup challenges with Windows 7. The second monitor isn't showing up, and you can't access the internet via a direct LAN connection. It seems driver updates might help, but you need to connect to the internet to install them. Fortunately, you have your laptop ready for a transfer. I found a helpful video by Linus explaining where to download all your drives from one site, though it's hard to locate now. You might want to check forums or official support pages for more guidance.

Top spot to obtain drivers for mobo is the official Mobo support page. It lists the newest versions. I believe you're conflating Linus's advice with Ninite, which doesn't supply drivers. It mainly covers standard software and a few compatible tools such as Adobe Flash, Java, and possibly Silverlight. You'll also need GPU drivers available on manufacturers' sites (like AMD or Nvidia). Don't overlook peripherals—get their respective driver support.
