It's still brand new, and you're using two screens with one at 1440p. That could be a factor. The shopperson mentioned an update, but I'm not sure why. Are you okay? For your reference, here are the latest updates from the ASUS page about fat32 formatted removable drives: [link]. Just make sure to run it through the BIOS menu and avoid losing power during the process. It should be straightforward. EDIT: I just confirmed your BIOS supports the new CPU generation. Everything appears to function properly except for your 1060 model, which means you likely don’t require a system update. Why take the chance?
