I experienced a significant frame drop during metro last night, dropping to 20 seconds, along with those white points unrelated to the preview. What can be done to resolve this issue? I tested it on an R9 280x Vapor-x Tri-x with an i5 4440 and an i7 2600.

Metro's last light is it? Make sure your temperatures are normal, otherwise it might be thermal throttling.

Verify your settings and turn off Physx. Try again later if needed. Also... the title needs correction!

Yeah. Even though I thought the OP was smart—I was anticipating something like them discussing purchasing and then playing Metro last night… But sure, turn off PhysX.
