laptops require unplugging and reconnecting the cable to function properly. If not, they behave as if running on battery. I notice around 60 fps for about 30 seconds, then it drops to 20–30 fps and returns to 60 when I restart the action. This issue occurs across all games I play.

What kind of laptop are you using? It might only connect with a standard barrel plug, or it could have an additional pin for communication. I've noticed this when the device can't detect which charger is connected, so it defaults to the smallest available and reduces performance accordingly.

it features a standard barrel connector, and I discovered that FPS isn't as poor as on the battery. It's still around 20 frames per second lower and roughly 10 to 20 frames higher than the battery version.
