Here is your revised text:

1. What is your budget?
$1000

2. What size notebook are you looking at?
I’d likely prefer a medium-sized laptop first, especially if it comes from dual-monitor desktops. A really small one might feel awkward. Still, I want something portable, so the biggest screen isn’t necessary.

3. What resolution do you require?
Minimum 1080p

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable

5. How much battery life is important to you?
I expect it to last about nine out of ten hours without power, which should be sufficient for most situations.

6. Would you like to play games on your laptop? If yes, please list the titles and the settings you prefer (Low, Medium or High).
Light gaming (Old School RuneScape) – possibly two instances open.

7. What other activities do you plan to perform with your laptop?
Photo/Video editing, general video playback (like YouTube), etc.

8. How much storage space do you require?
Not much, but having the option to upgrade later would be helpful just in case.

9. If you have specific sites in mind for purchasing, please share their links.
Amazon is ideal if it’s Prime eligible; Newegg is also fine. Other reputable stores are acceptable too.

10. How long do you intend to keep your laptop?
A few years

11. What type of optical drive do you need?
DVD ROM/Writer, Bluray ROM/Writer, etc.
Not applicable

12. Could you mention any brands you prefer and dislike, along with the reasons?
N/A

13. In which country do you reside?
USA

14. Any additional details you’d like to share?
I really value a laptop with a strong built-in Wi-Fi card. I don’t want to be too far from my router.
I prefer Windows 10 or 11, not tablet-style devices (like Chrome books), and I’ll definitely use an external mouse for connectivity.

Lastly, if you can find something that fits your needs for under $500, I’d be more than happy to consider that option.

Thank you in advance for your time and recommendations!

You might want to consider any of these shortlisted laptops;
https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100167732 600553908 4814 601360961&LeftPriceRange=0+1000
However, I believe they might be too advanced for your needs. I chose the highest budget and compact model you could afford. Lowering the specs or using an older generation laptop would still work well but would last longer.
