I received an MSI GT780R laptop for the same purpose as yours, but after three years it became outdated because it couldn’t handle most games. Inside the left side, the plastic around the screws cracked, making it hard to open and close without damaging the screen. The touchpad also stopped working. I attempted repairs using epoxy, but the pressure caused it to break right away. I didn’t take it to a repair shop because I don’t want to pay more money to MSI. I spent about $2000 on this device. Laptops are generally more expensive and less powerful than desktops, and upgrading components can be tricky. Perhaps if you’re staying at one place often, consider using a desktop there, and when you travel, use a cheaper laptop.

Hmm, looks like you're checking if the system meets certain specs. It seems to be looking for a configuration with 2.4kg weight and under an inch in size, paired with a Xeon E3 1231v3 and a 750 Ti processor.

Superfish* This was just a first generation Y50, long passed and I also run my own OS versions. It doesn’t matter. When you compare the value you get for your money to things like the Asus GL552 or Acer Nitro, the Y50 really stands out.
