Laptop Studio with GPU experiencing random crashes and restarts.
I’m working with a configuration where my Surface Laptop Studio connects to an eGPU featuring an RTX 3060ti at home. The problem began after uninstalling and reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers for an Adobe application. Attached is the system info and a Pastebin link: system information - Pastebin.com. What’s happening? Occasionally, the whole device freezes for 1–2 seconds before shutting down and restarting. This can occur randomly, sometimes lasting a minute or more, without any clear cause. It’s really annoying. I’ve tried updating, rolling back, reinstalling drivers (even reverting to the exact version I had before), reseating the GPU, cleaning it, disconnecting everything, performing a factory reset on Windows, and manually reinstalling all programs. I also checked event viewer and reliability history for any common triggers, but found nothing. Used different cables (power, display) and switched outlets. Updated Windows and applied various minor fixes via ChatGPT and online troubleshooting. The issue persists. Could you let me know if there’s anything else I should add? I’m new to this process.
