Laptop new, frozen on MSI logo, drivers for Nvidia missing, GeForce settings not functioning
Sorry for the disruption, but I have some questions. I just built a new PC today—AM5, M.SI 650i, and several NVMe drives. I installed Windows 10, but I’m having trouble installing the NVIDIA driver (it doesn’t work with this Windows version) and GeForce Experience isn’t functioning either. Now I get stuck at the M.SI logo when I restart my computer. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this? It seems like a search on Google isn’t helping much.
Can you access the BIOS? Is it stuck on the Windows loading screen or the BIOS loading screen? If it manages to get past the BIOS, I recommend reinstalling Windows because you haven’t saved any data yet. If you already have important files in Windows, you might attempt booting in safe mode. For example, restart the PC and immediately power it off again by holding the power button until the machine shuts down. Repeat this 3 to 5 times; Windows should then launch in recovery mode or safe mode.
I solved the nvdia driver issue (my Windows wasn’t in the 22h2 version). Still facing problems with the MSCI logo—no loading circle appears. Turning off and turning back doesn’t fix it. I’ve reinstalled Windows three times after replacing the SSD, but the issues persist.
Verify GPU functionality across another system. Consider adjusting the PCIe interface settings—switch to version 3 in BIOS or manually set it to version 4 if auto is enabled. Also test enabling/disabling S.A.M., along with other PCIe configurations.
I replaced them a few times now, but I’m not sure what’s happening. After wiping the SSD, I installed Windows 10 and got into the desktop, but when I turned off the power and restarted, the system kept showing the MSI logo.
It might seem silly, but I faced a nearly identical issue a few years back—it was about the power supply. Make sure all connections are correct. If your PSU is modular, you may also need to reinsert these cables.
