While organizing my laptop fans, I unintentionally placed a magnetic screwdriver head onto the motherboard. It caused two sparks but no smoke. Now my laptop screen won’t turn on, yet it retains power and keeps my mouse and cooling pad running through USB ports. The processor is still heating up. I’m wondering if there’s anything I can try to get it to start, or if it’s completely non-functional.

Check if connecting to an external screen is possible. If successful, it suggests the display issue and you could consider replacing it.
