Laptop keyboard stopped functioning unexpectedly—super annoying!
I'm experiencing several problems with my new Dell XPS 15 9520. First, the system lacks the "Never Combine Windows" feature, which bothers me a lot. This issue has occurred repeatedly, and I'm unsure what might be causing it. My wired keyboard or laptop keyboard suddenly stops functioning. When I click the left mouse button on any desktop icon, it triggers a right-click instead. I recall encountering this problem with my previous Dell XPS 15 9550 laptop last year after installing Kaspersky Total, which I had added as an antivirus. I made adjustments to the settings, and the keyboard issue disappeared. Now, after installing Kaspersky Total on my Windows 11 Pro laptop, I imported the same settings, but the problems persist. Since I play online poker on this machine, I rely heavily on specific keyboard shortcuts for certain actions. Recently, none of these hotkeys function properly. For example, pressing the letters to perform tasks no longer works. Additionally, when I use the Tab key during web browsing, it opens a large window previewing all my Chrome tabs. How can I disable this behavior in Windows 11? I don’t want any of my regular keys to act as shortcuts. Could this be why my hotkeys aren’t responding while playing? The most frustrating part is that whenever the keyboard stops working or the mouse only gives right-click responses, I can’t type anything or open a Chrome tab. This issue seems to happen even when Kaspersky Total is paused. When I resumed it and then paused again, the keyboard functioned normally. So, is this related to the paused state of Kaspersky Total? It’s unclear how the keyboard behaves under those conditions. I also noticed that most accessibility settings are disabled, but pressing the Tab key still causes a full Chrome window preview.
