Hi there, I just purchased an HP Omen 15 – a solid laptop for my requirements. However, I’m encountering an odd problem when trying to connect to my apartment network (a single Eero device, non-Pro). It appears stuck in N mode at 144 Mbps. I’m sure the Eero can handle higher speeds, and my laptop connects smoothly at work. I’ve updated the drivers from Intel’s site to the latest, checked all power management settings, but still can’t identify the cause. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’ve tried: swapping the router, connecting to the AC Wi-Fi at work (867 Mbps), reinstalling WiFi drivers, and checking for updates via HP software or Windows updates. I have a 400 Mbps connection at home, which is sufficient for everyday use, but I’d like faster speeds – especially when moving files between my desktop or server and this laptop. It has an Ethernet port, so I can always use that. When inspecting network properties (under Network & Sharing Center), the speed shows as 144 Mbps. SSID: xxxxxxx, Protocol: Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Security: WPA2-Personal, Band: 5 GHz, Channel: 48. Manufacturer: Intel Corporation. Driver version: 21.90.3.2. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

You checked their site briefly and saw they mention only 802.11n and 802.11ac, not any speed details.
