Laptop featuring Ryzen 5800h processor and varied memory capacities
First some background, my previous laptop was an intel 8th gen i5 (forget the exact model) that came with 8gb of ram, and I wanted to upgrade it. After doing some googling, I discovered I could add a single 16gb stick to the laptop, and the intel processor would effectively run dual channel for the first 16gb (8gb of each stick) and for the remaining 8gb run at single channel speed. I now want to do the same for my new laptop, run it with 8+16gb ram sticks, but I can't seem to find information on how the Ryzen 5800h will treat this - will it run at single channel speeds for the entire 24gb? Will it try to run at dual channel for the first 16gb? I'm also assuming it will run both sticks at the slowest stick speed. If someone was more familiar and could confirm exactly how the 5800h will behave that would be nice.
