To maintain your laptop's cleanliness, regularly organize files and remove unused items. There are tools available that can help delete unnecessary files and apps automatically. Consider using built-in system utilities or third-party apps designed for file management.

Files in temporary folders are removed automatically. You can delete unused applications yourself. This should cover most requirements.

Windows isn't great for this task. Just the temp folder at AppData\Local\Temp gets wiped. Other programs like CCleaner or bleachbit might help, but CCleaner's registry cleaner is particularly problematic.

I handle the cleaning process by turning off unnecessary startup items in Windows and then restarting the system. Next, I remove any unused applications from the Apps list. I also perform a Disk Cleanup focusing on System Files, though manual cleanup is possible. The registry no longer bothers me—I’ve come to accept some remnants. If I had been more meticulous, I’d have used Revo Uninstaller for apps.
