Hello, from the title you mentioned I own an older laptop and am trying to get it running again. Windows keeps restarting during startup. After several attempts—clean installs, different drives—I installed Ubuntu and it functions properly. It works without dual boot; it runs fine with Linux but not with Windows alone. I don’t have the technical spec sheet, but it seems to be an AMD A-10 with 8GB DDR3 RAM and a Samsung 870QVO storage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I overlooked something, I’ll update the post quickly. Edit: As noted in the comments, I double-checked all UEFI settings without success.

It seems like you're thinking about tweaking certain UEFI configurations. Likely, Secure Boot and CSM need to be activated or disabled during installation. If the process changes these settings compared to the default UEFI values, that could explain what's happening.
